Hulu Trengganu Hydroelectric Dam: Lot CW 2: Main Civil and Associated works
Subcontract: Import core and shoulder materials (Puah Dam) and earthwork to Access, Spillway and Tembat Dam

The Project site is located at the north of existing Kenyir Dam in Kuala Berang, Daerah Hulu Terengganu, Negeri Terengganu Darul Iman, which involves construction of a new hydroelectric dam project in Tasik Kenyir involving Sungai Tembat and Sungai Puah, Hulu Terengganu.
The general characteristics of the Project are as follows:

• Two reservoirs known as Puah Reservoir (6,000 ha) and Tembat Reservoir (130 ha);
• Two dams; one a 78 m high earth-fill dam (Puah) on the upper Sg. Terengganu Matiat downstream of its confluence with the Sg. Puah and the other a 30 m high rollercompacted concrete (RCC) dam on Sg. Tembat.

Nagano was appointed by Loh and Loh Construction Sdn. Bhd. as the sub-contractor to undertake the Earthwork at a sub-contract sum of approximately RM 34 Million.

The scopes of work inclusive of site clearance, removal of unsuitable materials, roadway cut and fill, import core and shoulder materials to Puah Dam, spillway and Tembat Dam excavation.
